OLYMPIA, Wash. — Prominent anti-tax initiative promoter Tim Eyman and his organization now face more than $101,000 in contempt-of-court fines, and a Thurston County judge just doubled the daily fines to $1,000.

The Seattle Times reports the judge found him in contempt in February for not producing all the financial documents sought by the state in a lawsuit alleging politically corrupt acts.

In a fundraising letter from earlier this month, Eyman said over a decade of his tax returns, phone records and bank statements have been reviewed.
