CONWAY, Wash. — A 2-year-old boy went missing around 4 PM Thursday along the Skagit River in Conway, and still hasn’t been found.
Crews found a toy car in the river that the boy had been playing in before he went missing, and KING 5 reports rescuers saw tracks leading to the river, but were unable to locate the boy.
Multiple agencies, including the sheriff’s marine unit and a Navy helicopter, joined in the search, even using a drone with thermal imaging to cover more ground, but they had to suspend the search after several hours when it got too dark.
They plan to resume the search Friday at 9 AM with a dive team and more rescue crews.
