OLYMPIA, Wash. —Â Washington’s primary election is Tuesday.
The top two vote getters advance to the November election, regardless of party.
Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee, who is seeking a rare third term, has drawn 35 opponents.
Other races include Superintendent of Public Instruction, a role that with increased public visibility since the coronavirus pandemic.
Also up are state Insurance Commissioner, 40th and 42nd District Representatives, and Whatcom Superior Court Judge.
Ballots must be postmarked August 4th or earlier, or put in a drop box by 8pm Tuesday, August 4 to be counted.
