OLYMPIA, Wash. — The USDA issued a public health alert over various beef, pork and poultry salad and wrap items due to possible Cyclospora contamination.
The products were distributed by Caito Foods and have “Best By,” “Enjoy By,” “Best if Sold By” or “Sell By” dates ranging from July 18th through July 23rd.
They were sold at Trader Joe’s, Walgreens and Kroger.

The alert comes after Fresh Express, which provides the chopped romaine lettuce for some of the salads and wraps, issued a recall.
Cyclospora infection is caused by an intestinal parasite, it can last on the food for up to two weeks, and it may take up to six weeks before a person reports being ill.
