OLYMPIA, Wash. — A new report shows a significant increase in deadly crashes with drivers under the influence of multiple intoxicants.
The Washington Traffic Safety Commission found that multiple drug use resulted in one-in-four traffic deaths in 2016, which was double the number of alcohol-only crashes and five-times the number of marijuana-only.
The commission especially wanted to emphasize the importance of making plans for transportation as April 20th, or “420,” approaches, and many people celebrate marijuana.
