FERNDALE, Wash. — A fatal hit-and-run collision early Thursday morning has the State Patrol asking for the community’s help.
Trooper Heather Axtman says the accident on Grandview Road near I-5 just before 3:30 AM killed 51-year-old Daniel W. Holcomb of Ferndale as he walked along the road.
The driver of the vehicle, which troopers believe is a pickup or SUV, fled the scene, but investigators note the vehicle will have damage to the front right portion and a damaged bug shield.
