MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol is looking for witnesses to a crash last month on I-5 in Skagit County.
On July 30 at about 5pm, troopers responded to an injury collision which occurred near Mount Vernon in which the driver sustained serious head injuries.
The vehicle that caused the collision fled the scene and continued driving northbound.
It is described as a 2010 or newer red or maroon Honda Civic four door sedan with a spoiler and tinted windows.
The driver of the Honda is described as being a heavy-set Hispanic male in his mid-30’s to early 40’s with a shaved head and close-cropped beard.
The Honda had a temporary registration in the rear window and likely sustained damage to the left front side.
