OTTAWA, Canada — The U.S.-Canada border closure has been extended for another month, but officials say they can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement in a tweet Thursday, saying the border will remain closed until April 21st
Homeland Security announced that the U.S. border closure with Mexico will also be extended.
Global News reports Trudeau hinted Monday that Canada was not ready to reopen the border to more people.
He said border restrictions will be loosened eventually, just not today.
