BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two protesters who blocked the Guide Meridian ahead of then-candidate Donald Trump’s rally in Lynden last year have been found guilty.

A jury found Josefina Alanis-Mora and Thomas Kaplan guilty of disorderly conduct for the incident in May 2016, in which Alanis-Mora, Kaplan and a third protester chained themselves together and blocked the highway just south of Lynden.

The Bellingham Herald reported they were sentenced to 10 days on a work crew, fined $250 and placed on probation for two years.

Their sentences are on hold while they consider whether to appeal.

The third protester, Neah Monteiro, took an Alford plea and was sentenced to 24 hours of community service, a $250 fine and a year of probation.
