BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Another rockslide on Chuckanut Drive near the same area as the one in September shut down the road roughly north of the Oyster Dome Trailhead and south of Larrabee State Park.
As of Sunday, the State Department of Transportation said material was still moving on the hillside and more rain in the forecast could keep things unstable.
WSDOT crews will assess the area again Monday after rocks came tumbling down late Saturday night.
If your Sunday morning travel plans have you using SR 11/Chuckanut Drive – know a rockslide has closed the highway from milepost 11.5 (north of @taylorshellfish and the Oyster Dome Trailhead on SR 11) to milepost 13 (south of Larrabee @WAStatePks). Use I-5 or alternate routes. pic.twitter.com/8YznbmY7aB
