LYNDEN, Wash. — A local business is helping to put turkey on the table for many families in need this Thanksgiving.
Snapper Shuler Kenner Insurance’s ninth annual turkey drive donated more than 2 tons of turkeys to two Whatcom County food banks in November.
Turkeys were distributed to families in need by Bellingham Food Bank and Lynden-based Project Hope Food Bank.
They were purchased with donations from the public along with $1500 from SSK Insurance.
