BLAINE, Wash. — Two young Whatcom County men are suspected of leading sheriff’s deputies on a chase through Birch Bay and Blaine in a stolen vehicle.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a break-in at a business in the 8000 block of Rogers Road in Blaine at about 1:30am Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras showed two men stealing a Ford pick-up valued at over $10,000.

After a pursuit of nearly 10-miles, the vehicle got stuck and the suspects attempted to flee on foot but were tracked by K-9 units and taken into custody.

They were identified as 21-year-old Samuel Belles of Blaine and 20-year-old Daniel Isom of Lynden.
