MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Two Mount Vernon residents were arrested after a 17-year-old boy died of an overdose in Bellingham.
The Department of Justice says Rosaliana Lopez-Rodriguez supplied counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl to the Bellingham teen, who planned to sell them in Whatcom County.
He was found dead of an overdose November 9th.
Investigators tracked down Lopez-Rodriguez November 27th with help from the victim’s brother and friends.
Lopez-Rodriguez then pointed to Jiovanni Alejandro Nunez as her supplier and he was arrested Tuesday.
A search of Nunez’s home turned up hundreds of pills.
