BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Police arrested two men they say were involved in a drive-by shooting early Tuesday.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy reports three people in a Mercedes followed a man to his home in south Bellingham and parked near his driveway.
He walked toward the vehicle to confront them and a person in the passenger seat fired a handgun at him while the driver backed away.
He wasn’t hurt.
Police were able to identify the car by a temporary tag and pulled it over on Airport Way.
They obtained a warrant and found ammunition and a handgun that was reported stolen two years ago in the car.
Officers arrested the suspected shooter, Jonathan Gabriel Gunderson Jr., and the driver, Awan Awan Riak.
A third person was detained and released.
