BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two Bellingham men are in custody after trying to drive off from a crime scene with the victims still clinging to their car.
Court documents state that the suspects took nearly $3,000 in merchandise without paying from Whatcom Electric and Battery on March 6th.
The suspects, 39-year-old Nicholas Miller and 48-year-old Robert Starry II, got into a vehicle and began to leave the scene.
Two witnesses tried to reach through the open windows of the car to get the stolen items back, but Miller drove off, with both witnesses hanging onto the vehicle.
Both witnesses suffered minimal injuries and the two suspects were arrested on March 16th.
