BELLINGHAM, Wash. (KOMO) – Two Bellingham paddleboarders are participating in this year’s Race to Alaska.
Luke Burritt is one of them.
He talked to our news partners at KOMO News before the race.
“For me, this year, it’s just about getting to Ketchikan. I don’t expect to win it, I’m sure gonna give it my all. I believe a paddler can win it, for sure.”
The 750 mile race started in Port Townsend and ends in Ketchikan.
Any vessel can participate, as long as it doesn’t have an engine.
