OLYMPIA, Wash. — The State department of health has disciplined two local health care providers.
Skagit County registered nurse Carol Lee Allan Bennett allegedly worked a shift at a hospital while under the influence and admitted to working while impaired to a commission investigator.
She was charged in July with unprofessional conduct.
Also in July, the secretary of health charged Whatcom County registered nurse Mary Elizabeth Hancock for allegedly having a sexual relationship and entering into a romantic relationship with a patient.
Health care providers have 20 days to respond to charges made by the Department of Health.
