BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two would-be burglars in Bellingham were outsmarted by some local construction workers.
Court documents state that a witness called 911 after seeing the two cutting through a chain-link fence on North Forest Street on July 14th.
Officers apprehended the pair following a brief chase.
25-year-old Michael Snodgrass admitted that he served as the lookout for 30-year-old Jonathan Murphy, who stole two boxes of tools from the construction site.
The boxes, which were believed to be holding $500 worth of tools, actually contained heavy rocks.
Both men were taken into custody.
