LYNDEN, Wash. – Two people are dead after crashing their car into a tree early Friday morning.
The State Patrol says 21-year-old Cesar Cruz-Cruz was speeding as he drove north on Old Guide Road just after midnight.
He didn’t stop at the intersection with West Pole Road and left the roadway, striking a tree.
Both he and his passenger died at the scene.
The passenger has not yet been identified and troopers don’t know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
