WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Rick Larsen spoke out on Congress’ 2nd impeachment of President Trump in 13 months Wednesday.
The 2nd District Democrat says it’s clear that the President’s words led to the insurrection at the nation’s Capitol on January 6th, adding, “a reasonable person can’t hear what the President said at the rally and not conclude it would end up the way it did.”
He denies that this is just another attempt to get Trump out of office, saying it had nothing to do with policy and “everything and only to do with his incitement of insurrection.”
Larson applauds Washington Republican Representatives Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dan Newhouse as well as the eight other House Republicans who voted in favor of impeachment.
