BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Three teens under the age of 15 are in trouble for trying to evade police after an alleged “dine and dash” early Saturday morning.

Bellingham Police say an officer on patrol saw two persons running toward a parked with that was idling between Denny’s in Bellingham and the Ross store at about 3am Saturday.

The driver and her passengers then sped north on the Guide Meridian, running a stop light, driving erratically, and failing to yield as the squad car pursued them.

The driver and her passengers were ages 14, 13, and 12.

The driver was eventually booked into juvenile detention for attempting to elude a police vehicle, hit and run, and 3rd degree theft.

The passengers were referred to juvenile court as suspects in the dine and dash that had been reported earlier by Denny’s Restaurant  on the Guide.
