OLYMPIA, Wash. — Unemployment fraud victims are being victimized again.
Some of the victims have reported receiving a 1099 tax form in the mail from the Employment Security Department.
If you receive one of these forms in the mail and you did not file for unemployment this year, you were likely the victim of fraud.
ESD says they are aware of the issue and has created a website with info on what to do if you get this tax form for benefits you did not receive in 2020.
