BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Mount Vernon woman has been identified as the person killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-5 in Bellingham Tuesday night.
The State Patrol reports 52-year-old Ana Hernandez Islas was driving south just before 11 p.m. when she lost control near the Sunset exit and hit the left shoulder barrier.
She got out of her vehicle and was struck by cars driven by a Bellingham man and a woman from Port Angeles.
A fourth driver swerved to avoid debris from the crash and also hit the left barrier.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the accident.
