MT. VERNON, Wash. — A $210,000 grant will help continue support of minority-owned farms, individual farm assistance, access to food in rural areas of Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
The Northwest Agriculture Business Center was awarded three grants totaling over $471,000, with the largest amount being the Whatcom Community Foundation Grant.
The NABC says the three-year grant allows staff to work with nonprofits and agencies on local farming projects.
