PORTLAND, OR – A lack of labelling has led to a recall of a lunch meat product in Washington state.
The USDA announced late last week that Portland-based Olympia Meats has recalled over 800 pounds of meat due to a lack of allergen labelling.
The company’s Mortadella Classica contains pistachios that were not listed as an allergen on the product’s labels.
So far, no one has reported any cases of illness or allergic reactions from eating the Mortadella.
The USDA is still urging anyone who may have purchased the meats not to consume them.
Olympia Meats says the impacted products were produced between February 10-13 of this year.
Additional information on the recalled meats is available on the USDA’s website.
