OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington state voters may have already received or soon will get a postcard from the U.S. Postal Service encouraging voters to plan ahead for the November General Election.

Voters here can disregard the message.

Among the recommendations is to request a mail-in or absentee ballot at least 15 days before Election Day.

Secretary of State Kim Wyman says Washington voters do not need to request a ballot, as they are automatically mailed to all registered voters 18 days before the election.

She added that voters who are unsure if they are registered or if their address on file is current can log into VoteWA.gov to confirm their registration information.
