SEATTLE, Wash. – University of Washington Medicine infectious diseases physician Dr. Chloe Bryson-Cahn says she’s also optimistic about COVID’s downward trends.
But she’s not convinced that the governors’ move is the last word in the battle against the pandemic.
“We are going to look at transmission in our schools and in our county, and if things start going up or we have a new variant, I think we’re going to have to pivot as we have all along,” said Bryson-Cahn. “I don’t think this is going to be any different.”
She encourages everyone who wants or needs to keep wearing masks to feel comfortable doing so.
And she says masking up during airline travel or in other crowded indoor settings will continue to be a wise choice.
