SEATTLE, Wash. — UW Medicine has opened a drive-thru coronavirus test for medical staff, faculty and trainees who have symptoms of upper respiratory illness.

The tests are run out of tents in an open-air parking garage at UW Medical Center in north Seattle.

Workers drive up and a nurse in protective gear conducts the test, with results coming back in 24 to 48 hours.

The drive-thru center opened on Friday and so far no personnel have tested positive for coronavirus.
