The Washington Husky women’s softball team is heading back to the College World Series. After beating Utah to win their Super Regional over the weekend, the Huskies are one of 8 teams with a shot at a national championship. Washington will be joined in Oklahoma City by Florida, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, Baylor and LSU.

The Dawgs are returning to the tournament for the first time since 2013. Washington finished third that year.  It’s the fifth trip to the World Series for Washington under head coach Heather Tarr. The Huskies won their first and only national title back in 2009.

Washington (48-12) will open up play Thursday vs. Oregon (52-6) at 4pm. The game will air on ESPN2.
