SEATTLE, Wash. — UW Medicine is one of the research centers testing the drug remdesivir for use against COVID-19.
Dr. Helen Chu says their research matched other NIH studies that found the anti-viral drug to be a promising treatment for very sick people.
She says the next step will be randomized clinical trials of the drug.
