BELLINGHAM, Wash. – It’s now a requirement to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to work for or contract with the City of Bellingham.

Mayor Seth Fleetwood issued an emergency order Tuesday, September 21st, requiring all city workers, volunteers and those entering contracts with the city to be fully vaccinated by December 3rd.

That means they’ll have to provide proof of their second Pfizer or Moderna shot or single dose of the J&J vaccine no later than November 19th.

Those seeking a religious or medical exemption must apply by October 15th to be considered.

Current workers who refuse to comply will face disciplinary action that will likely end in termination.
