BELLINGHAM, Wash. — An international demonstration organized by activists skeptical of vaccines came to Bellingham Sunday.

Demonstrators organized on the foot bridge over I-5 just north of Alabama Street.

The group ‘V is for Vaccine’ said in a release their goal is to raise awareness of vaccine risks, namely COVID-19 vaccines.

Co-founder Joshua Coleman said that with a fast-tracked COVID-19 vaccine, ” it is critical that people understand their rights, the true scope of risk involved in vaccinating and the lack of adequate recourse if they suffer an adverse reaction.”

Demonstrations were planned in Canada, Australia, and all 50 states, including Olympia, Tacoma, Spokane and other Washington cities.

A Facebook page previously promoting the event was unavailable this morning.

The Washington State demonstrations were promoted by informedchoicewa.org.
