OLYMPIA, Wash. — Research shows vaping is associated with catching COVID-19.
A new study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health shows young people who reported ever having used e-cigarettes were five times more likely to test positive for the disease than non-users.
Washington state health officer Dr. Kathy Lofy says people need to do everything possible to keep their lungs healthy during the pandemic, including quitting e-cigarettes and tobacco.
The DOH offers a free texting program, a mobile app and a confidential hotline to help people quit.
