BELLINGHAM, Wash. – -If you rely on the Whatcom Chief for vehicle ferry service to Lummi Island, your wait is over.
Runs are is set to resume at 7pm Sunday evening.
The contracted passenger-only service that had been in place during Whatcom Chief maintenance is planned for a stoppage after the 10:10am run Sunday to allow for dock reconfiguration to re-accommodate the Whatcom Chief. Whatcom County Public Works has published full details here .
The Whatcom Chief has been out of service for its annual dry dock.
