BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A vehicle hit and injured a person crossing Old Fairhaven Parkway Tuesday morning.

A Bellingham Police spokesperson says the person was in the crosswalk between Starbucks and the AM-PM near I-5 when a vehicle turning east from 30th Street hit the pedestrian.

The person suffered abrasions to the face and a possible broken leg and hip injury.

Investigators are trying to determine if the pedestrian had a “walk” or “don’t walk” signal, and other aspects of the accident.
