WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – There are numerous events marking Veterans Day in Whatcom County.
Boy Scouts Troop 4019 and Cub Scouts Pack 19 will lead a Veterans Day Service Project at Bayview Cemetery on Woburn Street from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The American Legion Bellingham on West Bakerview Road will hold a ceremony at 11 a.m.
In Lynden, everyone is invited to a ceremony at the VFW on Hannegan at 11 a.m. with refreshments to follow.
Ferndale Kiwanis will host a flag ceremony for recently deceased Marine veteran Mark Brokaw at 2 p.m. at Outlaws Saloon on Main Street.
And state ferries will all sound their whistles at 11:11 a.m. to pay tribute to the men and women serving or who have served in the nation’s armed forces.
KGMI will present a special Veterans Day Program produced and hosted by Jerry Stewart on today, November 11th, at 3 p.m.
