BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Stolen bikes are an on-going problem in Bellingham, and the Police Department has some advice.
Outreach Officer Jon Knutsen says recording your bike’s serial number is critical.
You can usually find it on the bottom of the frame.
Also take a few pictures of your bike to help identify it.
And always lock it.
He says you should use a U-lock along with a cable lock as a determined thief can easily defeat a cable.
