BELLINGHAM, Wash. — We’re smack dab in the middle of the 100 deadliest days for teen drivers in Washington.

Friday, July 31, marks the halfway point of the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when the Bellingham Police Department says more teen drivers are killed in crashes compared to the rest of the year.

They ask parents of teen drivers to open a discussion and urge them to limit passengers to two, stay off the road at night, and stop all phone use, especially texting.

Law enforcement agencies throughout the county are standing together to provide a message of safe driving.
