BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University’s Viking Union remains closed today, Wednesday, February 23rd, after a firearm threat to the Viking Dining Hall was received.
The threats showed up in the general email addresses of two departments and one went to a spam folder on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Campus police are investigating along with local law enforcement and they ask that everyone stay away from the Union.
Food service staff have been added to other dining halls to serve students, faculty and staff.
People with campus email accounts are asked to check their inboxes and to forward any threats they find to University Police at university.police@wwu.edu.
