OLYMPIA, Wash. — Visitors can return to nursing homes and other long term care facilities under new guidelines outlined by the state.

Governor Jay Inslee announced the state is issuing a four-phase guideline on visitation that begins next week.

He says nearly all care facilities in the state are in the first phase.

Subsequent phases will allow for indoor visits with restrictions.

He stresses that the phases of the plan for nursing facilities are tied to but don’t directly correlate with a county’s overall phase in the “Safe Start” plan.
