Volunteers needed for Birch Bay’s post-holiday beach clean up

BIRCH BAY, Wash. — The Birch Bay community needs volunteers for their annual beach cleanup following the 4th of July holiday.

The Northern Light says they plan to pick up firework debris and trash on July 5th and 6th.

Volunteers can pick up trash bags at the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center along with required masks and gloves.

Full bags can be left in garbage cans on Birch Bay Drive and crews with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office will collect them.
