OLYMPIA, Wash. — Vice President Mike Pence has pledged the full support of the Trump administration to Washington state as the coronavirus death toll here continues to mount.
He acknowledged that the Seattle area has been the hardest hit in the U.S., with 11 dead and at least 70 confirmed infections.
Pence toured the state’s emergency response center and said the U.S. has made “real progress” in addressing a shortage of coronavirus test kits.
