SEATTLE, Wash. — A new poll finds a large majority of Washington residents think it’s more important to protect public health than to protect the economy.

Just 17% of respondents say the lockdown wasn’t needed.
61% think the greatest danger would be lifting the restrictions too early, while 31% worry about lifting them too late.
Almost twice the number of respondents side with the governor over President Trump in their responses to the crisis.

He says it’s likely opinions will change when they run another survey in about a month.
