OLYMPIA, Wash. – State Attorney General Bob Ferguson is again taking the Trump administraion to court, this time over the EPA’s failure to set emissions limits on existing oil and gas facilities.
The EPA set emissions standards for new facilities in 2016 and began writing new rules for existing ones, but EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt put and end to that process last year.
Ferguson’s suit alleges failure to limit emissions from existing facilities is a violation of the Clean Air Act.
Washington is joined by 13 other states, the District of Columbia and the City of Chicago in the lawsuit.
This is the 24th lawsuit Ferguson’s office has brought against the Trump administration and his office says they haven’t lost one yet.
