OLYMPIA, Wash. — Governor Jay Inslee has extended Washington’s eviction moratorium through August 1st.

He says the intent of the order is to prevent an increase in homelessness during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The moratorium prohibits residential evictions and late fees on unpaid rent, with limited exceptions.

It also requires landlords to offer residents a repayment plan to catch up on unpaid rent.
