SEATTLE, Wash. – You can feel a little better about your carbon footprint if you’re taking a ferry on Friday, April 22nd.
Washington State Ferries will be celebrating Earth Day by flying flags on all of their operating vessels indicating they are “Green Marine Certified.”
Green Marine is the premier environmental certification program for the North American marine industry and participants benchmark their annual environmental performance, have results verified by an accredited external source, and agree to publication of results.
Washington State became the first U.S. ferry operator to join Green Marine in 2018.
