QUILCENE, Wash. — The Trump Administration will give $878,000 towards Fish and Wildlife projects in Washington.
The Department of Interior says the funding will be spread out over three state projects.
Nearly half will go towards infrastructure repairs at the Quilcene National Fish Hatchery.
$395,000 will go to the repair of the fish holding pond surface at the Carson National Fish Hatchery and $61,000 will be used for needed updates at the Abernathy Fish Technology Center in Longview.
The administration has approved $50 million in funding for projects across the country addressing dire maintenance and repair projects contributing to the $1.4 billion backlog facing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
