OLYMPIA, Wash. — You’re in the right state if you hope to have a close encounter of the third kind.
Satelliteinternet.com studied data from the National UFO Reporting Center – which happens to be in our state – and found that Washington has the most UFO sightings with 160 reported last year.
That averages out to just over 78 sightings per 100,000 residents.
Montana, Vermont, Alaska and Maine round out the top five.
If you want to avoid a sighting – or abduction for that matter – southern states have the fewest UFO reports.
