BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A new study reports that of the Top 100 Cities for EMTs and Paramedics, a fifth are in Washington.
SecurityChoice reviewed data from 645 cities nationwide which included salary figures, crime data, cost of living, and projected job growth, calculating the top 100 based on these factors.
Twenty-one cities in Washington were on the list, with Bremerton making the first appearance for at 22nd place, Mount Vernon coming in at 51st, and Bellingham at 61st.
Gainesville, Georgia topped the list.
Washington State as a whole ranked third in the nation, right behind Georgia and Arizona, thanks in part to having the highest mean salary in the nation, which was almost double Georgia’s and Arizona’s.
