OLYMPIA, Wash. – Governor Inslee is joining the Democratic governors of Oregon and California in objecting to a Trump administration move to open most of the nation’s coastlines to oil drilling.
Inslee tweeted that the “U.S. west coast is one of the most pristine in all the world.”
The plan would open the California coast to drilling for the first time in decades.
KOMO reports that Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell have both introduced legislation that would ban oil drilling on the west coast.
